Where science meets art in every soap bar! At WECO Soap Co. we strive to produce high quality products made with natural ingredients to moisturize, exfoliate, and soothe your skin. I started making handmade soaps and bath bombs in 2012 as a stress reliever while working for an engineering organization outside of D.C.. I had an excitement for experimentation and was looking to create the perfect soap. Not too hard, not too soft, tons of moisture, and just the right amount of bubbles to know it’s working.

As we engineers tend to do, I developed a design of experiment (DOE) with evaluation criteria based on what I thought mattered most in soaps: its hardness, its ability to clean and condition, how much it bubbled, and its effectiveness at moisturizing.

Dozens upon dozens of soaps later, I made it. Fast forward to switching careers from chemical engineer to chemistry teacher for a better balance of family and work, it’s clear it’s time to follow my passion. So, in 2021 WECO Soap Co. was born and now I make soaps focused on natural ingredients and quality only an engineer can produce.
